Join the Georgia Chamber of Commerce for the second annual Georgia InVenture Prize Competition aired LIVE at Georgia Public Broadcasting. Cheer on your favorite college or university as the top five teams battle it out and showcase their unique ideas to a panel of judges. This event is free to attend and open to the general public. This exciting competition will also be live streamed on the InVenture Prize website.

Jewel Burks Solomon  |  Co-Founder - Partpic

Jewel Burks Solomon is an advocate for representation and access in the technology industry. As co-founder of Partpic, a startup designed to streamline the purchase of maintenance and repair parts using computer vision, Jewel and her team built ground-breaking technology poised to change the way people everywhere locate products. Partpic raised over $2 million in seed funding from notable investors like AOL co-founder, Steve Case, and Comcast Ventures, and integrated its software into mobile apps/websites of large parts distributors and retailers. Partpic was acquired by Amazon in late 2016 and the technology now powers visual search for replacement parts in the Amazon Mobile Shopping app.

In just under a year, he has not only founded and grown his home services business, Jonny On It - but has expanded it and has continued plans to increase its geographic footprint in 2019 and beyond. Jonny On It is a mobile app that instantly connects Realtors and homeowners to hundreds of home service providers in real-time. Driven by original thought, interpersonal skills, and technology orientation, and with an extensive background in marketing, sales, and project management, Christian possesses a unique talent for integrated marketing and brand voice development. Kim is an active investor in early-stage technology, health care, consumer product, and media companies. In addition to her role with The JumpFund, Kim is also a Managing Director and co-founder of the Atlanta chapter of Golden Seeds. The JumpFund has invested in more than 20 woman-led, Southeast based companies since 2013, across our two venture capital funds. Golden Seeds is a leading force in focusing on women’s leadership, gender diversity, entrepreneurship and job creation. Investments are made through our nationwide angel network and venture funds.
